Author Event with Fran Kimmel Stettler Public Library Join us on Tuesday April 30th as Fran Kimmel reads from her latest book, No Good Asking, and answers questions about her writing. Fran’s first novel, The Shore Girl, won the 2013 Alberta Reader’s Choice Award and was selected as a Canada Reads Top 40 book. We will have copies of her book and light refreshments on hand for the author talk between 6-7 pm. Afterwards stay to discuss the book with Fran and the Reader’s Circle book club between 7-8 pm.

Raise The B.A.R Steak Night Brenda's Cozy Cafe "Raise the B.A.R" First Event along with Dirt Road Event Services proudly present "Steak Night" @ Brenda's Cozy Cafe. Our goal is to raise funds for our local Stettler Crisis Aid Program through the Halloween Howl Event scheduled for October 26th, 2019. 100% of profits are going to our local Crisis Aid program, and we are working together to create our biggest fundraiser yet. Bee Health Workshop 4516 52nd Street Megan Evans – President of the Alberta Native Bee Council Megan Evans will be speaking about native bees in Alberta, and participants will have the chance to build bee boxes for their yards. Trying to work gardening for bees into the title, as Megan also discusses gardening for native bee health. Another speaker may be presenting on gardening for bee health. Gardening with bee health in mind, hive design, bee health, and actions and equipment needed to provide a healthy environment for bees in your area. Interactive workshop, participants will require a cordless drill, bit set, and gloves, all other equipment will be provided to build your hive. We will host this at the ag society. Cost will be twenty dollars to cover the cost of the bee boxes. Lunch is provided. 10:00 am to 2 pm.
