Skills Day - High School Event

Time: 9:00 am - 3:30 pm

Hosted by the Stettler Regional Board of Trade

Skills Day is a one-day event designed for high school students to explore the diverse field of rural healthcare and the many professions it offers. Held during school hours, the event brings students together in a community space, local school, or healthcare facility to experience hands-on learning and real-world insights.

Students will have the chance to participate in:

  • Storytelling sessions with local healthcare providers
  • A Q&A panel with professionals from a variety of healthcare careers
  • Interactive skills stations (suturing, IV starts, airway management, and more)

This engaging day helps inspire the next generation of healthcare workers while showcasing the rewarding opportunities available in rural communities.

Important Note:

Skills Day will go ahead as scheduled, regardless of any strike action involving the A.T.A. and the Alberta Government.

The Stettler Skills Day - High School Event is sponsored by the Stettler Regional Board of Trade and Central Alberta Campus will be providing lunch for participating students. The event is free for students within the Stettler region to attend.

Night of Terror at the Booseum - No Scare Day

Time: 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Location: Stettler Town and Country Museum 6502-44 Ave.

No Scare Day is the perfect chance for people to see the hardwork and dedication of the Booseum volunteers and experience the booseum without the scares!

Sunday November 2 - 1p.m. to 3p.m.

"At the Stettler Museum, a 1908 Stettler School / Courthouse transforms into terror in October. A group of volunteers, choose a theme, decorate (change) the building into a fun-filled event ‘Night of Terror’! Yes, there is screaming plus more, and that is not from the volunteers. This dedicated group can put in 1000s of hours to create a change in the building so complete, that regular staff do not recognize the building."
