Annual Community Container Garden Contest
West Stettler Park
Community Container Contest: entry deadline May 14 Heartland Beautification Committee and Town of Stettler are happy toannounce that they will be holding their Community Container Contest for the 5th year. Teams made up of individuals, families, groups, businesses, or some other organization can register to plan and plant one of the 10 planters that are in West Stettler Park. This year, it has been decided to waive the entry fee and the prize is smaller (but the bragging rights are 2x as big). You create your design, purchase the plants, and then plant the planter. Then the Town takes care of the planters all summer long. The theme for 2021 is Gardens of Hope, which ties into some of the initiatives of Communities in Bloom, which we are a part of. Contact the Parks Office (403-742-4411) to get the registration form, or stop by the Rec Centre. Register by May 14th. There are limited spots (10), so don't delay.

This year, if you have seeds (flower or vegetable) that you've collected or that you have left over, you are welcome to bring those as well. Remember, there is no cost. This is free exchange.
