Taste of the Heartland Main Street Stettler Ticket Sales Launch March 16, 2020!
The Taste of the Heartland is a unique 3-part experience hosted by the Stettler Regional Board of Trade and Community Development in conjunction with the County of Stettler happening August 8, 2020 on historic Main Street Stettler. East Central Alberta is ripe with local produce and protein and both the Farm to Fork VIP Bus Tour and the Taste of the Heartland Long Table Dinner promotes these quality items whilst simultaneously utilizing them to increase agriculture awareness.
Focusing on bringing fresh local ingredients straight to the table is the driving force behind the all day Taste of the Heartland experience. On the morning of August 8th the tour bus leaves the County of Stettler Shop for a number of local farms with the day being broken up by lunch provided in one of their scenic surroundings. After arriving back to town in the mid afternoon patrons will have a chance to change and relax before the Long Table festivities commence. Diners will be treated to a succulent 3 course meal prepared by chefs who embrace the farm to table lifestyle and bring the products showcased on the bus tours to new heights. Spirits crafted from local crops will be expertly paired with the meal to highlight other aspects of what can be done with the harvests. This year the fun doesn't end when the meal does, revelers will be treated to a Main Street Dance and live entertainment open to the public.

Stettler Pheasant Festival Stettler Board of Trade The Stettler Pheasant Festival began 6 years ago with the partnership between the Stettler Regional Board of Trade & Community Development, Canadian Badlands Tourism, and several passionate volunteers. The committee was able to offer half-day hunting opportunities along with a beginner hunt.
Today the festival offers three days of privatized hunting for registered participants in half day or full-day hunts along with the opportunity to participate in hands on interactive learning sessions throughout the weekend.
Registrations for the half day sessions include privatized hunting grounds in pre- assigned areas for up to four hunters and their dogs. Each half day hunt will be $275.00 and includes 8 Pheasants to be released just prior to your hunt. Additional pheasants are available for purchase.
Following the festival, a release of 300 hens will be performed to help further improve conservation within the County of Stettler and increase the pheasant population for future hunters.
