The Stettler Awards Gala has been a prestigious business event for many years. The 2017 Business and Citizenship Awards Gala will be October 26 at the Stettler Community Hall. Cocktail hour begins at 5:30pm.

This year we are pleased to have Safire-a world-renowned circus arts & fire entertainer as the entertainment for the evening. Join us in celebrating business and citizenship in Stettler.

Categories of Nominations include:
(not all catgeories will necessarily be awarded each year)

  • Citizen of the Year (Male and Female)- recognizes the outstanding dedication and contribution to the welfare or betterment of an individual, service, not for profit group and/or the community in an unpaid position leaving a positive impact. Citizens of the Year are a source of inspiration to others. Recipients must be a resident of the Town or County of Stettler.
  • Youth Citizen of the Year- recognizes a youth under the gae of 18 who demonstrates outstanding dedication and contribution to the welfare or betterment of an individual, service, not for profit group and/or the community in an unpaid position leaving a positive impact. Citizens of the Year are a source of inspiration to others. Recipients must be a resident of the Town or County of Stettler.
  • Business of the Year- awarded to the business owner who successfully operates a large, established company while exemplifying an outstanding spirit and commitment to the Stettler community. Business must be in operation for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Small Business of the Year- awarded to the business owner who operates a successful private enterprise while exemplifying an outstanding spirit and commitment to the Stettler community. Business must be in operation for a minimum of 2 years.
  • New Business of the Year- awarded to the business owner of a new private enterprise that has shown a successful opening and operation in their first year and demonstrates a desire for growth and prosperity within the Stettler community. Business must be in operation less than 2 years.
  • Customer Service Award- awarded to the business owner, manager or employee who goes above and beyond to provide their customers with outstanding service in their everyday operations and shows leadership in setting high service standards for the Stettler area.
  • Community Service Award- awarded to the business or organization that has best demonstrated outstanding commitment to community involvement through partnerships, volunteerism, or other means of contribution to the local community.
  • Marketing Award- awarded to the business or organization that shows success and excellence in the promotion of products and services available to the Stettler area using traditional or social media marketing strategies.
  • Stettler Ambassador Award- awarded to the business or organization that promotes Stettler outside of the community as a great place to live, work and play while locally contributing to the wellbeing of our community. The recipient will have demonstrated innovation, commitment, and leadership resulting in the success of a local product, program, service, event or attraction that increases quality of life for residents or attracts visitors to the area.
  • Product & Innovation Award- awarded to the business or organization that is continually creating value through the development or application of products, processes, services, or technologies to be prominent in their industry and continuously train employees to meet their high standards.
  • Learning in the Workplace Award- awarded to the business or organization who strives to provide opportunities and motivate employees to pursue further education and foster a culture of learning.
  • Heritage Award- awarded to the business or organization that has been in the community for an extended number of years showcasing dependability and who continues to strive to be active in and serve the local community well.
  • Stettler’s Best Kept Secret Award- awarded to a business or organization who excels with the products and services they offer and are successful in the community with minimal marketing proving that the customer experience is the best form of advertisement.
  • Business Collaboration Award- awarded to two or more local businesses who make a commitment to work together to create or promote a locally made product or service that benefits each other and fulfills a customer demand.
  • Business Service Award- awarded to the business or organization who provide exemplary business to business service in their everyday operations and show leadership and a high standard for Stettler businesses.
  • Employer of the Year Award- awarded to the business owner or manager who strives for excellence for their employees both in and out of the workplace. This recipient demonstrates strong leadership to a dedicated team of employees thus providing an exceptional work atmosphere.
  • Shop Stettler Award- awarded to the business or organization who promotes shopping local by encouraging their team to purchase products and services within the community to fulfill their own business needs.
  • Corporate Citizen of the Year- awarded to the corporate business or organization who show an outstanding commitment to community involvement through partnerships, volunteerism, or other means of contribution to the local community.
