Can you recognize the signs and symptoms of someone experiencing a mental health problem? Would you know how to help or who to call? Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is the help provided to a person developing a mental health problem or experienving a mental health crisis. Just as physical first aid is administered to an injured person before medical treatment can be obtained, MHFA is given until appropriate treatment is received or until the crisis is resolved. Visit this website for more information : www.mentalhealthfirstaid.ca
Clearview Public Schools is offering a two-day training workshop on MHFA. You must attend both days to receive your certificate. This workshop can be subsidized thanks to a grant from the Rotary Club of Stettler. Call Adult learning for more information.
