This exhibit features works by Canmore-based artist David Foxcroft and Calgary-based artist Kristine Zingeler. In these works both Foxcroft and Zingeler use the process of layering to create complex photographic collages.

Join the Stettler Antique Tractor Club in various demonstrations each Sunday. Stop by to see the antique machinery and learn more about the agriculture industry.

Clay Sculpture Workshop

Join Jasper at the Stettler Recreation Centre to learn how to make cool sculptures using clay.  Explore your creative side and have fun with others.  Spaces are limited to allow for social distancing so sign up early by calling the library at 403-742-2292

Guided tours will be provided to visitors wishing to learn more about historic buildings within the town with the hopes of spotting the spirits/ ghosts believe to live in them.

Do you love to draw in a comic book style? Join Stettler’s own Chance Clark at the Stettler Recreation Centre for a look at drawing great characters.  Ages 10+, spaces are limited so please call 403-742-2292 to pre-register.

 

Agriculture Still Photo and

Video Workshop

Attendees will work with a professional agriculture photographer to learn how to take both photo stills and video footage of various types of animals.

This full day includes a bag lunch

Experience what farming was like when horses acted as the engines. Attendees will travel out to Jim Long's farm and view/ participate in farming activities when all the work was done by horse pull. Learn how to stook, watch the team thrashing and enjoy a wagon ride.

Old Fashioned Horse Pulls

The Central Alberta Horse Pulling Association will be at the Stettler Agriplex doing a horse pulling competition. Attendees will be able to watch the massive power of horses as they pull weighted sleds.

International Market and Craft Fair

10:00am - 4:00pm

Saturday afternoon an "international outdoor market" will be setup with various vendors displaying cultural arts and crafts, foods, etc.

The Art of Persuasion for Creative Writers with Fran Kimmel

In this workshop, you will learn how to hook your readers and keep them engaged from the first paragraph to the last.

What to bring: pen and paper, a favourite novel or memoir, your own bagged lunch and your enthusiasm!
